This is a native Windows program, not a browser game. Project Reclaimer loads Halo 3 from your own Steam copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection and adds dedicated servers, a server browser, playlists, scripted modes and up to 128 players. It does not describe itself as a decompilation or recompilation.
The original game
In the 26th century, humanity fights the Covenant alliance and the parasitic Flood, and Master Chief battles both after the Covenant try to fire the Halo rings. Critics gave it 94/100 on Metacritic, praising the multiplayer, Forge and saved films, and it sold over 14.5 million copies by 2012, making it the best-selling game of 2007 in the US.
Halo 3 includes the Forge map editor, saved films and a customised TrueSkill matchmaking system. Halo 3 on Wikipedia
The browser version
Project Reclaimer describes itself as a standalone launcher for Halo 3 from Halo: The Master Chief Collection, focused on Halo 3 multiplayer on PC. Its page labels it "Early development" and "Work in progress", at version 0.9.7. It is a native Windows client, not a browser app.
It loads Halo 3 from your own Steam installation while running and does not change those files. Your profile is a nickname and a key stored on your PC, with no account or email. It adds dedicated servers, a server browser, playlists with lobby voting, scripted modes (Gun Game, Growth, One in the Chamber, Zone Control, Flood Infection), an expanded Forge, Steam Workshop and server-shared mods, in-game moderation, anti-cheat and four-player split screen that plays online.
Games can hold up to 128 players if you host, or 127 on a dedicated server, with team games up to 64 v 64. Campaign co-op supports up to 16. Everyone needs the same version.
The page names no developers. The project includes no game files, art, audio or fonts, and every player and server host needs their own copy of the game. The source code is private for now, with a stated goal of eventually releasing it as open source and no date set. It describes itself as an independent fan project, free and non-commercial.
