The browser version
crashbash.app calls itself an unofficial browser port of the 2000 PlayStation party game. It says it is "not an emulator" and needs no disc image, no emulator window and nothing to download.
Players can go solo against CPU opponents or share a room with 2 to 4 people, with CPU players filling empty seats. The options are public battles, private battles joined by a room code, and "any battle" to take a public seat. The page says rooms are Europe-first.
It credits Eurocom, Cerny Games and Sony for the original, lists Activision and Universal, and says the site is not affiliated with Sony, Activision, Universal or Eurocom. It adds that there is no official Crash Bash remake and that this is not Crash Bash LIVE. Google Analytics counts visits and which arenas are played. The team behind the port, how it works and where the source is are not stated.
